Job Summary- 30 hrs cooking/10 hrs cleaning with a total of 40 hrs per week.

The CLJHS provides outreach services and emergency shelter to vulnerable people within the community. Part of the programs are providing hot meals 2 times per day. The Outreach program operates 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily with an average of 30 people utilizing the services offered. The MAT program (emergency shelter) provides a hot meal and safe warm place to sleep at night with an average of 15-20 per night and operates from 7pm to 7am. The programs serve approximately 100 meals per day. The food is donated from the Food Bank, members of community and Cold Lake First Nations. The applicant would need to be able to create meals that reflect the donations.

Knowledge/Skills Required

· Create weekly grocery lists

· Pick up food from Food Bank and other stores per week

· Prepare and cook large meals as precooked frozen meals for the staff to warm up when needed. The meals per week would be 2 meals per day

· Oversee all kitchen operations

Event Staff are responsible for:

• Setting up and tearing down municipal and private events such as: concerts, galas, bounce house days, sporting events, banquets, conferences, holiday parties, etc.
• Bartending events (must be over 18+ years of age)
• Selling tickets at the door of events when necessary.
• Point of contact during events to help with additional needs of the event.
• Working elements of the event such as bounce houses, sparkle tattoos and other activities put on by the City of Cold Lake.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a keen interest in helping others will make the incumbent of this position successful.

Role and Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance of property, equipment and vehicles throughout the facility (i.e., trucks/trailers/equipment)
Inspect and report operating conditions of equipment and vehicles
Occasionally attend service calls in the field
Role is primarily based in the Bonnyville shop, with the ability to respond to field calls as needed
Attend training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed as well as daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled
Mentor and inspire, setting a positive example as you oversee related duties within the team
Test and verify, ensuring every repair meets manufacturer and Timberwolf standards

Requirements:

Licensed heavy equipment technician certificate
Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with heavy duty trucks, trailers, light duty fleet and various oilfield related equipment including excavators, dozers and skid steers
Experience in diesels engines
Ability to work in team-oriented environment
Ability to work outside or on site, with the majority of work in the shop
H2S, First Aid and CSO required
